Varanasi, Hinduism’s most import site, is the final destination on our itinerary, March 14-16.
We will observe, from a respectful distance, a funeral that includes the burning of a body, wrapped in cloth, on an open fire. It is a singular experience that may not be appropriate for all guests.
While no one is obligated to participate in this ritual, one WILL encounter dressed bodies being brought to the river at all times and from all points in the medieval streets and walkways.
We can easily accommodate early departures, as all guests will be heading to the Delhi airport from Agra. Some may continue to Varanasi, and others may depart for home.
Terms & Conditions
Enjoy a bed in a shared double room in 3 star lodging (including 7 nights in Marriott Hotels and 3 nights in a Tribally owned Himalayan Glamp) with all breakfasts, 6 dinners, 3 internal flights, and private chartered vans for $3500.
Single rooms are available for a total cost of $4800.
A $1000 deposit is due upon reservation. The remainder is paid monthly in equal increments between date of deposit and the final installment on January 1st.
Space is limited to 10 total guests. Deadline is January 1st, 2025, pending availability.
